What is Alflorex® Dual Action?
Alflorex® Dual Action is a unique combination of two PrecisionBiotic® cultures, (35624® & 1714- Serenitas®) combined with selected B vitamins (vitamin B6 and pantothenic acid) to reduce tiredness and fatigue*.
Also contains calcium to support normal digestion*.
What are the ingredients in Alflorex® Dual Action?
The ingredients in Alflorex® Dual Action are selected B vitamins, (vitamin B6 and pantothenic acid), to reduce tiredness and fatigue, and calcium to support normal digestion*.
Two bacterial ingredients are further key ingredients: the 35624® strain (a key ingredient in Alflorex®) and the 1714 – Serenitas® strain (a key ingredient in Zenflore®).

Are the strains in Alflorex® Dual Action compatible?
Mixing bacterial strains together can mean their individual properties are effected and they may even knock each other out.
The clinical data for multiple strain formulations should be for the specified combination and not extrapolated from that of the individual strains.
A clinical trial confirmed the combination of the 35624® and 1714-serenitas® strains were synergistic. These strains are contained in Alflorex® Dual Action.
What are the 35624® and 1714 - Serenitas® cultures?
They are both naturally occurring and safe bacterial cultures, unique to PrecisionBiotics® Group and belonging to the Bifidobacterium longum species.
These types of bacteria can be passed from mother to baby at birth and are native to the human gut.
Both were discovered by PrecisionBiotics® and have been the focus of research by internationally renowned scientists and clinicians. Both have been fully genetically sequenced.
How many bacteria are in each capsule of Alflorex® Dual Action?
A single Alflorex® Dual Action capsule contains one billion bacteria, or 1×109 colony forming units (CFUs), at the time of manufacture. The dose in the capsule remains effective throughout its shelf-life.
CFUs are an indication of how many bacterial cells are present.
The number of bacteria in each Alflorex® Dual Action capsule has been chosen for optimal balance.
Taking Alflorex® Dual Action
How long does it take Alflorex® Dual Action to work?
Alflorex Dual Action® acts immediately and begins to prime your gut where it is needed.
It is important to take Alflorex® Dual Action every day.
Some people may experience mild and temporary changes in their gut during this first 4 weeks as Alflorex® Dual Action begins to gently prime the gut. If you have any questions at all about how Alflorex® Dual Action is working for you, please contact us.
*In rare cases it may take Alflorex® Dual Action longer than 4 weeks to prime the gut, possibly up to 8 weeks. If you’d like to talk about this and taking Alflorex® Dual Action, please contact us.
How long should I take Alflorex® Dual Action?
We recommend taking Alflorex® Dual Action daily, for as long as you wish, to be sure of its benefit.
The cultures do not stay in the gut after you stop taking them; the bacteria will be naturally excreted. To be sure of a sustained effect from Alflorex® Dual Action, you need to keep taking a daily capsule.
Do I have to refrigerate Alflorex® Dual Action?
No. Refrigeration is not required but we recommend storing the product below 25°C and in its original container with the lid securely closed.
Where can I buy Alflorex® Dual Action?
Alflorex® Dual Action is available now, from all good pharmacies.
If Alflorex® Dual Action is not available on the shelf, it can still be ordered from the pharmacy.
Just ask for Alflorex® Dual Action to be ordered for you, for pickup in store.
Can I take Alflorex® Dual Action with alcohol?
The 35624® and 1714 – Serenitas® Bifidobacterium longum cultures in Alflorex® Dual Action, can be inactivated by alcohol.
We recommend leaving a few hours between taking Alflorex® Dual Action and drinking alcohol.
What is the best time of day to take Alflorex® Dual Action?
Whenever you like.
How much Calcium is in Alflorex® Dual Action?
Each capsule contains 120 mg of calcium, which is 15% of the NRV (nutrient reference value) for calcium (800 mg).
NRVs are recommended levels for the nutritional intake of minerals and vitamins to present deficiency in an average healthy person.
How much Vitamin B is in Alflorex® Dual Action?
In each capsule Alflorex® Dual Action contains 1.4 μg of vitamin B6, which is 100% of the NRV (nutrient reference value) for vitamin B6 and 6mg of pantothenic acid, which is 100% of the NRV for pantothenic acid.
NRVs are recommended levels for the nutritional intake of vitamins and minerals to prevent deficiency in an average healthy person.

Are there side effects with Alflorex® Dual Action?
We are not aware of any side effects in conjunction with the use of Alflorex® Dual Action.

Can Alflorex® Dual Action be taken with antibiotics?
As with most food supplements, a dose of antibiotics could inactivate the Bifidobacterium longum bacterial cultures in Alflorex® Dual Action.
If you are prescribed a course of antibiotics, we advise that it is best to take the dose of the antibiotic at a different time of day to when you take your daily Alflorex® Dual Action capsule.
I am taking another vitamin supplement with vitamin B or taking vitamin B supplement. Can I still take Alflorex® Dual Action?
Yes. The levels of vitamin B are below recommended maximum intake levels.
Each capsule contains 1.4 μg of vitamin B6, which is 100% of the NRV ((nutrient reference value) for vitamin B6 and 6mg of pantothenic acid, which is 100% of the NRV for pantothenic acid. NRVs are recommended levels for the nutritional intake of minerals and vitamins to present deficiency in an average healthy person.
Some people have medical conditions that mean they may not be able to safely take as much. If in doubt, or concerns, you should consult your doctor.
I am taking a calcium supplement. Can I still take Alflorex® Dual Action?
