This unique culture is part of the Bifidobacteria family of bacteria passed by mother to baby at birth. It is a ‘good’ bacteria that is naturally at home in the human gut and has evolved with us over generations.

The 1714™ strain was discovered and developed by the Irish company, PrecisionBiotics^®, in partnership with experts of microbiome research at the APC Microbiome Institute, in UCC, Cork.

How quickly does Zenflore^® work?
Zenflore^® begins working immediately. The specially selected 1714™ culture in Zenflore^® should reach your gut in peak condition within a few hours of taking Zenflore^®. During the first two weeks, Zenflore^® will begin to gently prime the gut where it is needed. When taken every day, you can expect to feel the full effects of Zenflore^® within four to eight weeks.

How many bacteria are in each capsule of Zenflore^®?
A single Zenflore^® capsule contains  1 x 10⁹ colony forming units (CFUs). The number of bacteria in each capsule has been scientifically studied and chosen for optimal effectiveness. The dose in the capsule remains effective throughout its shelf life.

How long should I take Zenflore^® for and what happens if I stop?
Zenflore^® stays in your gut for as long as you continue to take it. It performs its action in the gut and then will naturally be swept out by regular bowel movements. There are no known adverse interactions of Zenflore^® with medicines. If you are prescribed antibiotics, it is best to take Zenflore^® at a different time of day from the antibiotics because the bacteria in Zenflore^® can be inactivated by antibiotics.

During the first few weeks of taking Zenflore^®, as the bacteria begin to gently prime the gut, some people may experience mild and temporary changes in their gut.

Can I travel with the product?
Yes, the special packaging for Zenflore^® capsules means that they can travel with you and still keep their qualities.
